With this conference and in the perspective of 9th Catalan Congress on Child and Adolescent Mental Health, to be held in 2027, we want to open a space for debate around situations of abuse in childhood and adolescence, at a physical and emotional level, bullying, sexual abuse, and neglect in care. We want to learn about the mechanisms that intervene to prevent and treat children, adolescents, and their families in situations of neglect or trauma/abuse from the earliest stages of life. We want to debate which actions and care frameworks can contain and, if possible, minimize the impact of these situations, and to learn about public policies since they play an essential role in this collective responsibility.
