The Conference Post 5th Catalan Mental Health Congress, entitled “Mental Health and Society in a Context of Crisis: Perspectives, Opportunities, and Proposals”, was conceived as a continuation of the Congress held in Barcelona on the days June 6, 7, and 8, 2013.
The event aimed to resume and deepen some of the main debates that arose during the Congress.
He focused especially on the’impact of the crisis on mental health and its repercussions on care models.
A space for reflection on the new needs generated by this social and economic context was proposed.
The proposals drawn up by were also presented and put up for debate working groups established following the Congress.
The meeting fostered the exchange of perspectives and experiences between professionals and stakeholders linked to mental health.
The need to generate was claimed appropriate responses to social changes and new forms of suffering.
The conference gave continuity to the process of debate and collective drafting initiated with the 5th Congress.
Overall, it contributed to identify perspectives, opportunities, and future proposals facing the challenges of mental health in a context of crisis.
