The Post 7th Catalan Mental Health Congress Conference, «Digital society and mental health», was held on December 16, 2022, at the Col·legi de Metges de Barcelona.

The meeting addressed the impact of the digital environment on mental health and the new challenges posed by the technological transformation of society.

The objective was to share data, experiences, and reflections on the digital reality and its repercussions on well-being and mental health.

The conference featured the participation of’Ulisses Cortés, engineer, researcher, and professor at the UPC.

Different perspectives on the opportunities and risks associated with the digitization of daily life were shared.

The meeting brought together a broad representation of stakeholders involved in mental health and its care.

Associations, family members, and individuals connected to the field of mental health participated, as well as professionals from the public network.

Psychiatrists, psychologists, social educators, nurses, and social workers contributed their experiences and perspectives.

The diversity of participants fostered a transversal and interdisciplinary debate on the effects of the digital society.

The Conference thus contributed to opening a space for shared reflection on the challenges that digitalization poses for the present and future of mental health.
