The 7th “La Xarxa a Debat” Conference”, held on March 21, 2014, devoted himself to “Protective and vulnerability factors in mental health: community interventions”.

Organized by FCCSM and AEN-Catalunya, will reflect on the factors that favor or harm the mental health of individuals and communities.

The importance of was highlighted biopsychosocial paradigm and of meaningful relationships as protective and resilience factors.

Emphasis was also placed on the need to guarantee stable environments, social support, and adequate care for children and adolescents.

The event advocated for support for families and parenting, as well as the continuity of ties and professional reference figures.

Several were presented community intervention experiences developed in different territories.

Among them, mental health promotion and prevention projects with youth, networking with adolescents, and interdisciplinary interventions.

The effects of the were also analyzed economic crisis on mental health and the value of community groups as spaces for support and the recovery of social bonds.
The experiences presented highlighted the importance of coordination among services, professionals, and community agents.
Overall, the conference advocated for mental health community-based, preventive, interdisciplinary, and focused on the resources and capabilities of individuals and their environment.
