The 3rd “La Xarxa a Debat” Conference”, held on October 26, 2007, was titled “Mental health, a necessary utopia”.
The event raised a reflection on the meaning of Hi mental, beyond the exclusive consideration of symptoms and diseases.
It was proposed to update the concepts and practices related to hello, prevention and disease.
One of the main objectives was to reflect on what professionals do, what they can do, and what they should be able to do to impact the mental health of individuals and the population.
The conference addressed the evolution of the concept of health and the transition from’asylum and psychiatric care towards mental health care.
The local and community perspective was also incorporated, with the experience of the project Inter-network.
The new developments and perspectives of the Mental Health and Addictions Master Plan.
The reality of mental health on the network was analyzed from different care levels and facilities, including CSMIJ, CAS, CD/SRC, CSMA and hospital.
The meeting brought together professionals from different fields and fostered a shared perspective on the challenges facing the mental health network.
Overall, the event championed a conception of broad, preventive, community-oriented and population-focused mental health, in consistency with the objectives of the Master Plan.
